A small group of Bawah Reserve guests, including myself, were offered the opportunity to go and see the work of the Bawah Anambas Foundation (BAF) on nearby Telaga.

$100 provides organic farming seeds
With this donation, we can purchase seeds giving islanders the ability to grow their own fruit and vegetables for consumption and for resale within the Anambas and to Bawah Reserve resort.
$250 provides business lessons for village women
Women in business elevate a community. With your donation, this programme helps teach the Anambas women the skills to start and sustain a small enterprise to earn an income for their family.
$1000 provides solid waste management recycling equipment
Help us continue building recycling centres across the Anambas islands and avoid waste going to overflowing landfill sites. With this donation, we can purchase bins and recycling equipment and provide invaluable education and training for the islanders.
$25 provides one month of digital English lessons
Children in the Anambas are curious and engaged and we provide opportunities for them to develop their education-a right for all children. This small donation will provide English lessons for one month for one child and give them a bright future ahead.
$500 builds a hexadome coral structure
A hexadome is an artificial reef structure created and placed underwater into previously destroyed reefs. They provide new habitats for marine life and grow coral by attaching it to the outer walls. Your donation will continue our work to rehabilitate our precious and vital reefs.
$50 provides turtle egg protection fencing
Help us protect our oceans by protecting turtle eggs. Sheltered pens give the baby turtles the best chance of hatching and continuing the next generation of sea turtles.
COMMUNITY-BASED REFORESTATION
FOREST CONSERVATION
BAF has been working to identify flora and fauna that is indigenous to the region to enable us to repopulate and restore the ecosystem and encourage biodiversity in the area.
