Bawah Anambas Foundation together with the Anambas government are planning to build a local forest ecotourism in the Hamlet of Gunung Kuak, Air Bini Village. The 2 hectares land is planned to be planted with hundreds of forest wood plants, non-timber forest plants (fruits), and bamboo, as well as the construction of facilities that support the ecotourism.
Saving forest ecosystem through local forest ecotourism development programme is a strategic effort and has added value economically without damaging the structures and contours of nature as well as the natural forest vegetation.
The basic concept that will be implemented in this programme is the application of agroforestry tourism, where the purpose of this activity is to increase the income of local people and increase public education on the importance of forests for human life.
