Anambas Foundation exists to protect and rehabilitate the ecosystem of the Anambas archipelago and elevate the communities’ welfare.
Founded in 2018, Anambas Foundation emerged from a deep sense of responsibility to safeguard the extraordinary natural wealth of the Anambas Islands while improving the quality of life for its communities. Situated in one of Indonesia’s most biologically rich yet vulnerable archipelagos, the Foundation recognizes that environmental conservation and human well-being are inseparable. Our approach is guided by three interconnected pillars — Above, Below, and Beyond — reflecting the holistic nature of our work. By integrating science, traditional knowledge, and active community participation, we design solutions that are inclusive, sustainable, and scalable. Our efforts protect ecosystems, build resilience, and ensure that the benefits of conservation flow directly to the people who depend on these resources for their livelihoods.
