A learning comic for the children of Anambas
KELAUT is a learning comic written for children aged 6 to 12 in the Anambas Islands. It tells the story of the coast they live on — its ecosystems, the forest above it, the sea below it, and what happens to the waste their households produce.
Schools across the islands have limited access to environmental learning material that is engaging, easy to follow, and grounded in a child’s own surroundings. The first volume takes waste management as its theme, and will be produced in both print and digital form for students, teachers, and the partner schools of the KELAUT programme.
The programme runs for ten months, from concept development through to distribution and feedback. We are looking for partners to fund it.
