Guardians of the Anambas Seas
Guardians of the Anambas Seas (GOTAS) is a youth program that prepares young people in Anambas to take an active role in marine conservation.
Participants receive training in diving, coral reef monitoring, reef rehabilitation, and environmental education while gaining hands-on experience through conservation activities in the field. Working alongside our Marine Conservation team, they contribute directly to reef restoration and monitoring efforts across the islands.
Beyond technical skills, GOTAS encourages young people to become ambassadors for ocean conservation within their communities. By investing in local youth, we hope to build a new generation of leaders who care for and protect the marine ecosystems that support life in Anambas.
